While working at UAP | Urban Art Projects, I developed a custom 3D printing pipeline to support the fabrication of Monuments to Motherhood. Using Grasshopper3D, I built a parametric workflow that accounted for the practical constraints of large-scale bronze casting—automating critical tasks such as model segmentation, labeling for reassembly, and file preparation for printing. This process ensured that each digital sculpture could be translated seamlessly from concept to castable form. My system dramatically reduced human error and sped up production timelines, freeing up studio artists and foundry teams to focus on craftsmanship and detail. It was especially rewarding to see how this behind-the-scenes technical work supported a project so rooted in care, labour, and community—values that resonated both in the sculptures themselves and in the way they were built.
