Theatrical Park - Fall 2019

By: Clark Cheng

An exploration on mixing programmatic classification of the theatrical element of a curtain. The site located in Ann Arbor, MI has a unique location of a theater being in juxtaposition to an existing park. This project challenges these two programmatic elements mixing to create an ambiguity of what is theater and what is a park. This results in the park transforming into a theatrical show while the theater façade mimics the theatrical curtain that drapes around the mass.
